Sunday Groups
Most weeks children and young people at Tabs have their own separate activities from the adults. We all begin the service together for an opening time of worship, but after about 20 minutes the younger members of the church family go to their own groups. These groups are age-specific and follow a teaching programme mostly based on Scripture Union's Sunday school material. A mixture of art and crafts, singing, video, games and Bible study is used to help the children come to know Jesus and grow in their faith. Older children and young people use different study materials designed especially for teenagers.
On the first Sunday of each month the morning service is very different from other weeks. On this Sunday the service is designed primarily for children, but adults are welcome to join in! It’s loud, it’s hectic and it's for the whole church family.
At these services we join ‘the Knights of the Round Table’ as they think about the meaning of life, tackle thorny questions and think about how they can spend more time battling dragons! However, their arch enemy, ’the Black Knight’ is never far away seeking to thwart their plans. Join the knights on their perilous quest for truth whatever your age!
The style of worship, teaching and music is designed to appeal to children and young people, so be warned… you may never have experienced worship quite like this before!
