Tools with a Mission enables people in developing nations to earn a living and to support themselves.
In many countries of the world people have few skills, little education and no means of earning a living. A switch from aid dependency to self sufficiency is impossible without help.
TWAM started twenty five years ago, and since then has given this help by collecting and refurbishing tools and equipment no longer required in the UK and sending them overseas.
DO YOU HAVE ANY UNWANTED HANDTOOLS,
HABERDASHERY, SEWING MACHINES – OR EVEN TYPEWRITERS?
Tabs' involvement with TWAM started in the late 1990's, when one of our members, John Haggitt, became a collector for the charity. He soon became the main collector for the area as other collectors retired.
During 2009, John and Andrew Bowdler – another Tabs member who had been helping John with collections for several years – started to look for a property that could be used as a S. Wales depot.
