Football Team
Tabernacle Church football team also known as Penarth Vale FC is sponsored by the Jaflon Restaurant and S and G Air Conditioning and was established formally in 2003. The team is part of the United Churches football league.
The team was formed with four main objectives. To keep fit and enjoy a game of football, to provide links with other local churches, to provide a link between the older and younger men in the church and to act as outreach to the community.
This is a great opportunity for men to share together in fellowship playing in a competitive and enjoyable league. The churches football league provides a great chance to evangelise with team mates and other players within the league. Through the football, church events and social events we have been able to share our faith in Jesus Christ with others and also supply the team with Gideon New Testaments.
This current season is going very well in terms of results; we are currently unbeaten in the league. However, it is not going so well in terms of weather.
